Linda Callahan earned both her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Hawaii Pacific University in 1992. With a 3.98 grade point average at her time of graduation, Ms. Callahan was awarded the highest honor of Summa Cum Laude and received a scholarship from the University of Notre Dame School of Law.

During her time at Notre Dame, Ms. Callahan participated in the Women’s Legal Forum, was named Production Editor for the Journal of Law, Ethics, and Public Policy, and repeatedly made the Dean’s Honor List. In 1996, she received her Juris Doctor (JD) degree, graduating with Cum Laude honors.

Voted “Super Lawyer Rising Star” by her peers in 2006, Ms. Callahan has since co-authored a constitutional challenge to Washington DUI law, leading to a two-year suppression of all state breath test results. She has also published articles in the DWI Journal of Law and Science, written a book for the general public, entitled the DUI Book, Washington Edition, and provides DUI defense training for other lawyers.

Ms. Callahan’s legal career has brought her face to face with the various court levels in Washington. From small municipal courts to the State Supreme Court, she has argued before every level, and is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court. Prior to creating Callahan Law, she also worked as a deputy prosecuting attorney.

Currently, Ms. Callahan leads Callahan Law, a private law firm that exclusively handles DUI cases, and is one of the only attorneys in the state to receive training from National Patent Analytical Systems (NPAS)—the manufacturer of the DataMaster and all other breath test machines used in Washington. She is not only well-versed in the science of breath testing, but also owns her own DataMaster and regularly conducts experiments for her clients. She is also certified to administer Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
