Have you recently been charged with DUI? If so, you need an experienced attorney on your side. Tacoma DUI lawyer Linda Callahan is just that. Highly trained and respected by peers, prosecutors, and judges alike, Ms. Callahan is a DUI lawyer who will fight for you.
Ms. Callahan earned Bachelor of Science and Arts degrees from Hawaii Pacific University in 1992. With a 3.98 grade point average, Ms. Callahan graduated with highest honors (Summa Cum Laude) and received a scholarship to attend the University of Notre Dame School of Law, where she repeatedly made the Dean’s Honor List. In 1996, she received her law degree, graduating with honors.
Voted “Super Lawyer Rising Star” by her peers, Ms. Callahan argued in the Washington State Supreme Court in the matter of City of Fircrest v. Jensen, a landmark DUI case in which the Supreme Court upheld the power of judges to suppress breath test evidence, following a legislative act that purported to take away that power. Because of Ms. Callahan’s efforts, accused persons across the State have had their breath test results ruled inadmissible—and her efforts have paved the way for a variety of scientific and legal challenges to breath test evidence since the Jensen case was published in 2006.
Author of the widely respected Washington DUI Practice Manual, published by Thomson-West, and relied upon by lawyers, judges and even prosecutors across Washington, Ms. Callahan has also authored an article in the DWI Journal of Law and Science, and for the general public, authored the DUI Book, Washington Edition. She is a frequent speaker at lawyer seminars, teaching her colleagues the finer points of DUI defense, and she is often called upon as a consultant to lawyers who require her assistance in cases involving drinking, or drugs, and driving. She has received training from the manufacturer of the Washington breath testing devices, and has her own DataMaster. Additionally, she is certified to administer Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, having attended the same training that law enforcement officers attend.
Ms. Callahan’s face is familiar in courts across Washington State—and she is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court. Prior to creating Callahan Law, she worked as legal counsel in the State Legislature and as a deputy prosecuting attorney in King County.
If you’re facing a DUI charge, you need look no further. Ms. Callahan’s experience, knowledge and reputation for excellence have served her clients very well and will do the same for you. Contact Callahan Law today for a free case evaluation.
